2000 Strong Youth for Christ Board Members

Fred Greene

Fred has had an illustrious career in municipal government, having been City Manager of Garland and Arlington; he's currently Deputy City Manager of Denton.  Fred and his wife Carolyn have been married for forty-nine years, and have raised five children.   Called to the priesthood at a young age, Fred has been Pastor and District President, Sionito Camp Pastor and 2000 Strong Camp Pastor. An Evangelist/Patriarch, his passion has always been to share his insights and almost encyclopedic knowledge of the Book of Mormon in the classroom, which he has been doing for over forty-five years in church settings.
Chris and Shelly Taylor

Chris has been involved in the medical device and dental products industries his entire career. A priesthood member for over thirty years, his primary interest has always been youth ministry. He coached youth baseball and basketball, and has served at over 35 summer youth camps.  As Pastor for five years, Chris and others envisioned a youth program which culminated in what is now 2000 Strong Youth for Christ.

Shelly grew up in Garland attending church every week and youth camps every
summer; she's been a flight attendant for twenty-three years, and it's been her vision, dedication, and diligence which have been responsible for our website and social networking sites.  She has literally served in virtually every way imaginable at our youth camps and continues
to be the catalyst in the 2000 Strong growth engine.
Sheila LeDoux
Sheila Ledoux
Sheila has been involved in Elementary and Middle School education, working with children who have mental, physical and learning differences. She has served as Sunday School Teacher  of all age groups for many years, and has a true gift of reaching young people about Jesus Christ and  the gospel. She has served as Business Manager, Counselor and Teacher at many youth camps.    As a loving mother actively engaged in her children's activities - and working full-time - Sheila still found time to pursue her degree, and graduated this Spring with Honors from Texas Women's University.
Butch Eskridge

An outstanding college athlete, Butch has always had a soft spot for young people.  As pastor for six years, he emphasized social activities and a Sunday school program for youth.   Having raised four children - all of them athletes - Butch  and his wife Nancy have sat through too-many-to-count  soccer, volleyball, basketball and football games.  Butch has served 2000 Strong as counselor, teacher, and director, and his main focus is to bring young people to Jesus Christ.
Phillip Jones
Another former pastor,  Phillip has a zealous passion for the Lord, and has devoted much of his life and ministry to youth outreach.  Under his leadership, his church became extremely involved in the community as a sponsor of youth baseball.   Currently a youth pastor, this ex-Marine exemplifies Semper Fi in his ministry as Counselor, Teacher  and Director at youth retreats;  he and his wife Sherri have raised three children.
Rob and Dianna McLuckie
Rob and Dianna joined the Air Force right out of high school, which is how they met. After getting out, they both pursued their education; Rob became a school teacher and Dianna a registered nurse.  Dianna changed careers and became a police officer, and currently serves in the Gang Unit of the police department. Having raised two children, they currently dote on several grandchildren.  Another former pastor and now retired, Rob has served the Lord for many years at youth camps, and his kind, loving nature brings a welcome presence to all youth settings he's involved in.  Dianna's focus on youth is to love them unconditionally and at the same time make them accountable and responsible for their behavior, motivating them to be productive citizens.
Jerry Skotak

A native of Irving, Jerry got his Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and Masters in Computer Informaton Systems; currently a programmer, he's found time - with wife Julie - to help raise three children; coach baseball, basketball and soccer for several years; and serve as pastor of the Dallas Restoration Branch for the past thirteen years.  Under Jerry's pragmatic and solid leadership, his congregation will move into a brand new building this summer in Carrollton. A former rock 'n roller, Jerry still finds time to strum his guitar, but his passion is in youth ministry. He sees his role as bringing young people to Christ and then preparing them for lifelong service in the church.
