Activities + Goals = IMPACT!

The 2000 Strong Youth for Christ Adventure Camp has not only helped me to better understand the importance of the Book of Mormon, it has played a major role in helping me to have the strength and courage to make good choices in my life."  Those are the sentiments of this  U.S. Soldier, who attended our 2008 camp.  In a way, Brandon was a part of this summer's 2000 Strong Youth for Christ Camp - even though he was thousands of miles away.  Through the incredible technology of today's methods of communication, Brandon was able to speak with and text various friends at camp while he was defending our freedoms in Afghanistan, serving in the U. S. Army.  Brandon is one of us - one of 2000 Strong.  I can tell you that everyone who is part of this amazing organization is totally committed to bringing the ministry of Jesus Christ to bear on the lives of our youth.  The YMCA provided us with beautiful campgrounds and and all the necessities - spacious cabins, a large dining hall with great food, recreation areas, comfortable classrooms, a beautiful  swimming pool, and a gorgeous lake with adjoining amphitheater perfectly suited  for evening campfires - all under a high Texas sky and moonlit nights.   Our goals are to: 
 1. Increase each child's faith in Jesus Christ.
2. Increase their understanding of the Book of Mormon and how it - along with the Bible and Doctrine and Covenants - can strengthen that faith and provide a foundation for God's love, peace, and joy to take root in their souls.
3. Be part of creating a Zionic atmosphere intended to nurture the presence of God's Spirit.
4.Provide a culture of fellowship designed to make everyone feel included - and to know they make a difference.
5.  Have Fun!  We not only want the youth to enjoy their time together, we want the staff to have fun,too - and for all of us to make new friends along the way.  

We are now a non-profit, tax-exempt organization - we are not part of any given denomination and thus depend soley on the goodwill and generous contributions of folks like yourself for our ministry.  I can't think of a better organization to give money to than 2000 Strong Youth for Christ.  Please pray about this and if you find it in your heart to contribute to our ministry, I believe you will be blessed beyond measure!   Our worship services incorporate Scripture study and comprehension, role playing, videos, and a lot of fun! Each worship service is followed by fellowship and snack time. Youth activities are designed to bring youth together for the express purpose of providing good clean fun and fellowship. The crown jewel of our worship experience is our 2000 Strong Adventure Camp - located one hour north of Dallas on four hundred pristine acres of YMCA Collin County Campground. This unique experience provides youth from 3rd grade through Senior High with the opportunity to learn about the Bible and the Book of Mormon, engage in life-changing experiences, and make many new friends. Activities include a Rock Climbing Wall, Swimming, Ropes Course, Canoeing, Arts and Crafts, a Talent Show, Camp Fire with S'mores, and so much more!  Go to our calendar of events to stay informed of all the youth worship services, and youth events that we have scheduled.
